Previously posted a negative review after the final boss had a huge game crash which froze up my PC and corrupted my hard drive.

Patch 7 seems to have addressed most/all of the problems I had with the game - pretty much just bugs and stuff. I always love the narrative and the characters but just had a huge gripe with how bug-prone it was, especially in Act 3, but this doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Would strongly recommend now.

Why do people do drugs when this game feels so good?

I may or may not be bad at poker, but either way this game seriously feels rigged, even with all of the 'proof'.
Nearly every single time I do anything, Max immediately has better cards than me. Every time.
Honestly, if it weren't for the TF2 items, nobody would get this.

Alright, just to say, this is one of the best games I've ever played.
Before someone says 'Oh iT'S jUsT 2D mIneCRafT' Terraria is totally different.
Sure, there are pickaxes but there are way more of them.
Sure, there are bows but there are way more of them.
Anyway, it's a pretty crappy comparison since, when you think about it, these two games aren't that similar.
Also, whatever you're doing, it's always just fun, to put it bluntly. Mining in a cave? That's fun. Completing an event? Also fun.
Oh yeah, and the events.
Each one is unique in its own way and has its own loot, plus you tend not to be really forced into any of them. You can sit them all out in a little pit if you want. Plus you have plenty of time to prepare for them, with some exceptions, although with those you can sit in a pit and be totally safe, though at the cost of any and all loot.

EDIT:
With the 1.4 update, the game has hugely improved aside from one thing: the luck mechanic.
Chances are you've seen stuff saying the game sucks now because of it but a recent patch remove the ability to gain bad luck from torches, meaning that the mechanic is much less of a pain.

Exellent game that heavily encourages creativity, especially with the ability to create your own dupes, saves and other things. Screenshots and artwork are also encouraged to be made, further pushing creativity to its limits.
