tf2 in competitive requires a huge amount of team co-ordination, especially in the higher divs
as much as overwatch, if not more in fact
having played overwatch sure, you need team co-ordination, especially in comp, but tf2 needs a huge amount, especially in 6s where you can change class, but if you leave one class for another, you may do something but it may lose you the game if someone else with a less important role doesnt fill that slot
or in highlander, immense team co-ordination, because there's only 1 of every class

Personally, I think the main problem (that I can identify), is the price. It feels like TF2 in terms of it should be free to play, with microtransactions, and they've done so much well, for example the loot boxes are amazing, you need to level up to get them, and you don't need to buy stuff to open them. But $40 (~£28) is just too much for a game like that. The game itself seems amazing and fun but after a while it just gets boring. But, there's no reason for it to. It's fun, excited, everything's new, every game is different, and the people who play it actually listen. E.G 'we need a support not two Reapers can one of you go support?' and one of the Reapers actually listen. So, I don't know what they're doing wrong, but they're doing it. Wrong. xd

I think they did supports really well in this game. I really enjoy Lucio and Zenyatta and i'm fine playing them if someone else is somebody i already am. Also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stacking Reinhardts on KOTH is op

Yeah, some stacks however are overpowered to ♥♥♥♥, such as on Volskaya industries, we stacked 6 Torbjorns on defense and won flawlessly. xD
But yeah, in Overwatch there's no mains or anything, but personally, I enjoy some supports like Lucio and Zenyatta, the others, I don't mind playing if someone wants to go Reaper or something I already am.

I also totally know how you feel with picking your hero "main". So many people think it's fine to stack loads of Genjis, and i always end up as the support, which is don't want to play, which makes that round even more boring. Eventually it just becomes boring when everyone messes about and you lose every match. The only times i really enjoy Overwatch is with my friends, as it does revolve around teamwork and communication. Overwatch's form of chaotic is crazy firefights and ults being popped all over the place, however if it is chaotic with no communication (as you said) it just becomes a boring. I don't know how long i will stick with Overwatch, but probably not for long.

In TF2, the chaotic, frenzy of fighting the often ensues on pubs and other servers is super fun, and makes tf2 what it is. If you want to play as a team, go play MM. If you want to mess around and do whatever the hell you want, go on a pub. Overwatch on the other hand was created around teamwork, so if your team are selfish and want to get there 20 killstreak achievment, your basically screwed.

I have to agree with you there. I only find the game fun with friends. Solo-queing in this game is so painful, since nobody coordinates at all and it becomes a cluster-♥♥♥♥ of your team getting rolled and dying because 4 people on your team wanted to be Soldier 76. I enjoy the game, but at the moment i only play if my friends are on, otherwise it literally becomes a chore for me to sit through endless rolls of our team getting destroyed by an actually coordinated team.

Yeah it probably will have a decent playerbase, but personally, I played it for almost a fully 3 day straight. Now sure, it's fun, it's exciting but unlike TF2, I most of the time just cannot be bothered to open it, because it's not that appealling, but it still is. So it might just be me being a lazy ♥♥♥♥, or it might be the game.

Basically, to play the game alot, or a decent amount, you're going to need to do a stack, or with more than 1 or 2 friends, because otherwise it really becomes chaotic and with TF2, chaotic or not, it's fun. However, in Overwatch, if it's chaotic and no kind of communication, then it gets chaotic and boring, especially if people pick the 'heroes' they prefer. Because say 3 in your team likes to play Genji (which happens too much), and they all go Genji. You're not going to win, and it gets boring.

Anyway Tf2 is the only game i REALLY enjoy nowadays so i will always come back to it despite me getting worse as time goes on instead of better cri

I dont think it will die though, it will probably still have a pretty big playerbase. But i dont know if it will last 9 years like good ol' tf2.

Your probably right to be honest. There may be so many players right now because it was so hyped with open beta and all the streams and attention from youtubers, streamers e.t.c. There will be people who stay with it but most people probably wont stick around for that long. Anyway playing with a controller (as i only have overwatch on xbox one) kills my brain cells and my computer can't handle overwatch so rip
