The story elements are the selling point here. If you find the combat frustrating don't be afraid to change the difficulty down, the real meat and potatoes is the story options. The combat is fun as long as you're winning and the system isn't really designed for a super compelling combat experience. But if you wanna tell eldritch beings to go screw a porcupine, then this is the game for you.
