This is an absolutely great game, I've been loving it!

Sadly I've just discovered that come the end of the season everything (save cosmetics*) will be reset. This for me is a game changer and not in a good way. There is waaaay too much grind for me to face this element again. I simply don't have enough time to invest in something so demanding.

My preference (not that it will likely make a difference), would be to reset the upgrades for generating k-marks (aurum too if necessary) and delete all items in the stash/inventory, but allow all completed quests (or even just faction levels) and other upgrades to remain in place. Like this, someone like me without the time, would still have a grind each season but not too much. You would also still achieve a mostly level playing field come the start of each season.

Either the above or at the end of the season, switch everyone's current progress to a persistent instance (similar to Diablo II's approach), and spin up a fresh one for the new season, which can be replaced each subsequent season. Just my two cents on the matter.

However, all in all it is a great game, very challenging and engaging and the combat is super rewarding, so is making a successful evac with a bag full of stuff (which is also satisfyingly stressful and nerve wracking at times). The game mostly seems to be very well balanced and has a lot of thought gone into matchmaking and other various features such as combat, it has a lot of potential and has already achieved a lot.

I would 100% recommend giving this game a go; just bear in mind, that if you don't have a lot of spare time, don't push for completing quests and upgrades too hard, because it will be a fleeting reward for the effort required.

*I believe but am by no means sure, that if you purchase a pack for the game (i.e. the Initiate Pack), you will be re-awarded any features/items that come with this at the start of each season too

Absolutely brilliant game, survival 'horror' at it's best. Crank up the volume and prepare to get freaked out (or maybe it's just me)!

My only hope is that they find a way to add further content or create a second game (or both). Trawling the island for supplies and new hidden treasures has kept me entertained for hours, and will do for many more.
