2014 Gmod was something else, Deathrun taught me god hops, intro to speed and speedrunning later. The game was much more active and spontaneous. Servers full of squeakers, teen bullies and YA usually in the military. Chaos and funniness included. Most gamemodes feel dead now, or are just too srs plyers and trolls lmao. For now I play the Mirror's Edge version of Half Life 2 where I can dropkick combine into space and shoot them with satisfying guns. Oh and the workshop is flooded with nextbots but still has impressive, overlooked ports/addons. To each it's own.
