This game is an absolute delight.

I cannot understate how much I adore this game. Its a Zelda-like that has a talking magical Capybara as a helper. It was a lot of fun to play and the vibe is amazing, reminding me how much I like cute Zelda-likes as a genre. I will say it is not a game without flaws. Those boil down to the combat is not terribly challenging, it has a pretty dumb runback mechanic (Which is offset by the combat difficulty), and there is a weird lack of dungeon maps, as well as some minor bugs. However, I personally do not find these fatal flaws because the art, music, and writing feel targeted at me and brought me great joy and has such great personality, and it has a lot of pretty good puzzles too. There was only one I felt poorly done, but I get why they did it, and it was navigable, just tedious. This is currently my 'Game of the Year' as classified by games I played for the first time this year, similarly how I felt about Crypt Custodian around this time last year. Took me 12.5 hours to roll credits on stream, and I will likely go back and 100%, or at least get all of the puzzles. It's an adventure, ja?

Is this the most amazing game in the world? Nope, but its a solo dev who made a perfectly good (if short) game. Well worth the $3 price.

I enjoyed this. Some of the middle puzzles were frustrating, and I'd probably have preferred something more like the early puzzles all throughout the game, but still was fun. Takes some twists and turns.

A Metroidvania that I am abandoning. Art is fine, the controls feel slow and clunky, but seems to have some good ideas. Unfortunately, the fact you get extra penalized for dying (Corpse run back + less health until you repair) really turned me off from the game

This game is not good. I enjoyed the first one, but this one was not well put together, and I will put up with some crap.

First, On Level 1, I accidentally solved the final puzzle just by randomly clicking on stuff the first time. And they weren't unreasonable choices. I clicked 4 things next to each other. This forced me immediately into Level 2.

Second, The puzzle design is clumsy, and from a story sense makes absolutely no sense. You are 'Fixing a spaceship', and the way the spaceship is put together is via weird, intricate, poorly designed interfaces that have way too many moving parts to make any sense. I can suspend my disbelief a good bit, but this was going too far. It wasn't universal, but it definitely felt contrived. A good half to two-thirds of the puzzles were just "move stuff until it opens" sort of deal (again, why would a spaceship have these intricate sorts of locks that don't keep anyone out, just are an inconvenience?). Also there were some where i could interact with the 'hidden components'.

Third, there is a hint system where the dev is clearly making fun of you for having used it, as the achievement is called "Laziness to think". I only got 'stuck' on one puzzle because it had bugged out (Had to restart the game), so I tried the hint system and clearly got insulted by the dev. If you don't want a hint system, don't include it. I support a good hint system in a puzzle game. This game didn't need it because the Dev was too lazy to think of anything interesting.

Go play The Room or House of Da Vinci if you are looking for what this game wants to be (But isn't). The first one in this series at least had some coherence to it. This one did not.

Maybe buy it if its less than $5.
