The animations although flashy take little to no consideration to the character models, this may look fun in a 1v1 but in a group fight, which happen more often than not, it becomes an epileptic's worst nightmare exaserbated by the terrible lock-on system. You will find yourself in instances firing or slashing blindly at the wrong target and won't even know it.

SPA attacks animations take around 2 second to deploy so your target will be in the next zip code by the time you get back to the game.

The AI in single player is brought to you by any game developed circa 2001, it is incredibly daft, in normal missions you may miss out the technological marvel of reverting back time due to the flashy attacks, but wait for a boss fight, if you're downed, the game will pick one of your companions and designate it as the "reviver" and the other the "spectator". Best of lucks getting that revive.

Oh by the way, there is no pause button. Yeah, not even in single player. Let that sink in! a game with instanced missions, missions with timers, and a visual novel for a plot driver does not have a pause button.

If you have 2 buddies you can push through the myriads of flaws in the game, if you are a Gundam fan you too could brush off some of the flaws in the name of fandom; However, I in good conscience cannot recommend this game in its current state, much less with the price tag of a triple A game. If this was $29.99 I'd tell you to go bananas and wager wether this game would be finished or collect digital dust in your library steam style, but for $60?! ($85 for the delixe edition) nope.

PS. The tutorial phase takes more than 2 hours. I will play this game in an attempt to justify my purchase.

Early Access Review
I have invested and come out on the losing site. This title should be avoidied until serious changes occur. The communication between players and developers is not existing, creating the sense that they are working behind closed doors without input from the community and making radical changes at their liking. I purchases this game a week after it launched and tested it, and yes it was simple, broken and unplayable, no biggy these things tend to happen. I installed it months later and the game was still simple, broken and unplayable. Re-installed again to see what is going on, game mechanics that made me purchase this game had been removed and the game is still simple, broken and unplayable. If anything this game seems to be going backwards in time. I am afraid of reinstalling the game now for the fear of being handed down a bunch of code and notepad.

This title seemed to have potential at the time but with games like Space Engineers, Minecraft, Starbound, Rust and DayZ I see no rason to purchase this game over the titles mentioned above. Draw a red cross on the store page and avoid it like the plague until the game is released in full and then, click to see if it's worth your time. DO NOT buy into the get "50% off now while is in alpha", because at it stands you are not saving anything, instead you are taking a 100% loss on your money.

I never took my time to recommend this title as all of my friends got it when it came out, however this title deserves every recommendation it has ever gotten. First of all it is/was the alternative to the 3d world of minecraft, where both games shared the gameplay in which the players is allowed to build at his/her pleasure, but! That is where the similarities end. Terraria is an action side scroller that combines aspects of sandbox, rpg and building. Although development for this title has stopped the game was left in inmaculate condition, with no bugs left and as polished as minimalistic 16bit graphics can be. The game lack any sort of story but it is replaced with goals which the player/s must do in order to unlock secondary content. The free roaming, suiting music and bright colors mix perfectly in this wonderful title that was only overshadowed by one of the biggest if not the biggest! indie title ever released, Minecraft.
That said, this title is in my personal imaginary golden list of the great overlooked games of the last few years.
