I loved playing OneShot. So much that, I played it twice, and I don't play story games twice normally. The the game's characters, the story, just... everything was amazing about this game (besides the controls, but I can forgive that).

WARNING! THERE ARE SPOILERS

The Story

The story of this game to me was probably the best story I've ever seen in a game, and including the Soltice ending, I actually cried. It was just so happy and yet so sad to see Niko leave and be back at home. Because now I wanna see the little guy again. Every piece of the main story, and the Solstice part were amazing to me, I loved playing this game, and because of that, it's my absolute favorite game.

The Characters

The Characters of OneShot are all great. Especially the ones that you actually do talk to for awhile (characters like, Alula, Calamus, Prototype, etc.) These certain characters really impacted the story a ton. All of them were great, (of course Alula being my absolute favorite), I love all the characters, even the little characters that might give a tiny bit of dialogue.

The Gameplay

The gameplay of this game is honestly pretty fun, collecting certain items, combining them to make new things and solve some puzzles. They were fun honestly. The control though were a bit of a problem, since you can't go diagonal, but I can forgive that. Most of the puzzles were all fun and a little small, there was only minor ones where I did get confused, but then solving them were very satisfying.

Solstice: THIS IS A HUGE SPOILER! IF YOU HAVEN'T COMPLETED IT YET, PLEASE DONT READ IT!

All of this section will be marked as spoiler text

The Solstice run to me was as amazing as just the normal run. Only one difference, this ending has made me cry. Seeing everyone still alive from the squares just hit my emotions like a semi-truck. Then seeing Niko leave forever was another thing... I couldn't keep them back. Solstice was honestly my favorite ending, not only Niko leaving back home and being happy, but that I was about to see all of my favorite characters again.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I recommend this game A LOT. The puzzle aspect of the game really was amazing, never knew games like this were so damn good. It was very much worth my $5 (Steam Summer Sale). Even if it was just the normal $10, it would still be VERY worth every penny.
