Don't Starve Together (DST for short) is an awesome game with tons of replay value both because of the wacky cast of characters and the procedurally generated worlds you play in. It's a game you can enjoy either alone (it was originally a solo game, after all) or with friends, although I found out that things can get a bit chaotic with them... Even if you don't have that much money to spend on games, Don't Starve Together is relatively cheap for the sheer amount of content it holds, and it frequently goes on big sales at holidays and such, so it should be affordable to anybody. I personally love the cooking mechanic where you have to put four ingredients together to attempt by trial and error to find out more and more useful dishes for your survival. I also love the challenge of the seasons, because it keeps forcing you out of your comfort zone, making you find new ways of scavenging food, resources and more. My only complaint with DST is that sailing can get boring at times due to the small amount of content the ocean holds despite it taking a large large portion of the map alone. So yeah, Don't Starve Together is probably the best, and also the most challenging without being unfair survival game.
