*EDIT 7/28/25*
After the release of the new expansion, it's pretty safe to say the economy complaints were entirely unfounded. Regardless of needing 3 copies to liquefy, the game is much more generous with it's pack offerings and rupee handouts. As long as you play the game, you won't be struggling to make competitive decks.
All the technical issues and bugs I had issues with at launch are no longer present and the new set added a good amount of cards that shook the meta up a bit.
I still have issues with the UI and think it needs some cleaning up. Specifically trying to select/highlight cards can be frustrating.
Shadowverse World's Beyond is easily one of the best TCG's you can play right now and you by all means should.
Most negative reviews at this point are leftover from people who didn't understand the economy, expected it to crash after the welcome events, or from people who can't bear playing a few matches against AI with a starter deck to complete missions for card pulls and just blame "whales" for their incompetence.

Can't recommend this game in its current state regardless of the monetization issues.
Everyone is talking about the poor economy of this game and how much of a regression it was from OG SV, so I won't even bring that up.

The game is riddled with bugs and constant errors.
60fps capped framerate and the game runs terribly the first time it loads anything such as doing card pulls or going to the Park. Speaking of the park, I have to select a location 2-3 times to fast travel successfully otherwise I'll get an error. This happens even when trying to go back to the home screen from the park.
I'd say more than 50% of my matches have been without sound because it just cuts out for no reason sometimes when you start a match.
There's less leaders to play than in OGSV and many of the extremely unbalanced cards that made the game miserable have returned with little to no changes.
All the fun Park minigame content that I was looking forward to has been cut because of nerds complaining on Reddit that a card game shouldn't have fishing and now as a result there's less content to give rewards, exacerbating the terrible economy issue.

Despite it's shortcomings, World's Beyond is still an extremely fun card game. The Park is great for what it is and the visuals of the game are more than acceptable. In many ways this is a great sequel, just not all ways..

Cygames has a lot of work to do in order to reach this game's full potential, which I totally think they can do. We'll just have to wait and see if these issues get fixed and how they respond to the game's negative reception.
