It's a cricket game, so I'm expecting core gameplay to be similar to Cricket 22 / Cricket 19.

However this game is poorly optimised for PC (even on lowest settings, the ball comes down either at a terrible FPS or an amazingly fast FPS which makes timing horrendous), and overall the game feels very stuttery compared to C22.

The game is also buggy (only bug I have encountered is the bowler walking forwards automatically after bowling, which I cannot stop, but initial reviews on PlanetCricket report a variety of other bugs).

On a personal note, I like some of the new animations - but hate the new bat sound. It just sounds.. odd. Not sure where they got that from. Maybe I'm just used to the sounds from DBC14 -> C22.

Also, the new batting stance has no sound when the batsman taps his bat down, and then his feet drift (a la EA games) from middle to middle/leg.

Overall I'd avoid for now, until they fix this up (like they have/had to do for AFL23 and Cricket 22).

Once this is tidied up, it will be a lot better - but I'd go as far to say this release gives Ashes Cricket 2013 vibes for the un-playability. (Although nothing will ever be as bad as that).
