EDIT Sep23 - U240:
Seems they finally fixed some of the matchmaking but it is downgraded from the previous updates. Still lots desync with EpicGames users (Since temp accounts get made) and if you change the crime.net filter settings, you HAVE to restart your game. Changing this to positive as it is better, but still a downgrade before the U237 state. At least you can play the game offline if need...

EDIT June 9th - U237:
This is a fantastic game on the solo/stealth/level for anyone to enjoy of all levels and skill. With lots of customization for builds, weapons, and play styles all around.
However, the core function of playing with friends was severely broken and ported to Epic Games Store after 10 years of working fine on Steam with all its' integrations. Which is something you don't do half-assed when the matchmaking becomes broken for the core playerbase. Playing with friends is pretty important.

Hate to leave this game on a bad taste but welcome to 2023.
Also, devs not saying anything for over 48 hours isn't helping either.

Different take on a looter-shooter.
There is too much content to give this one up. Many different play styles, too many guns to screw around with, and just a overall good time with others. Even the solo play is excellent. I keep going back to it because it's Payday. Even the glitches/bugs are something for everyone to laugh about.
