Bay12Games and Kitfox did fantastic work making the jump to a mouse driven UI and graphics for such a complex game. Still deep and full of everything that makes DF what it is, while also a little less inscrutable for new players. There are numerous quality of life improvements as well that I was glad to see.

Very interesting little game. The aesthetics and the sound/music are very moody and appropriate. It is a bit hard to figure out at first, and I am still working on it. I don't know how to gather resources, and some games my workers will just start walking over to the enemy kingdom and get slaughtered. No clue why. However this game is right up my alley and I am recommending it as a seal of approval. It may not be for you. Can't wait to see where it ends up.
