A complete game on release. No paywalls blocking off 90% of the content, no microtransactions and overpriced DLCs that should have been included in the original game.

Is this the new standard for RPGs that other devs should go for? No, this is what a video game should.

Amazing graphics and story, great cinematics and choices, choices, choices. Super fun gameplay and a lot of fun mechanics to work with.

It's been years since i was so excited to play a game, and I don't remember the last time a game has kept my attention like Baldur's Gate 3 does.

Thank you Larian for this masterpiece, definitely worth every cent.

I have decided to downloaded the steam version of Honkai Impact 3rd just to write a review. A positive one.

Most people are complaining about not being able to cross-play on the steam version. Yes, that is true, you can't. And miHoYo stated that before releasing the steam version of the game, so stop whining like a helpless child. And if you read the announcements on steam you might notice a post that may have a few FAQ within it. One of them might be something like this:

Q: What are the log-in options supported by the Steam version? Does it support cross-save?
A: We're sorry! Currently, you can only log in to the Steam version, which does not support cross-save, using Steam accounts.

Amazing, isn't it? No, it's not. You just probably didn't bother to read it before you decided to complain.

Now before this turns into a rant I should probably write something about the game itself.

Honkai is an great game, with an amazing story, although not everyone will enjoy the mostly single-player instanced stages, with a bit of co-op here and there. The gameplay is smooth tho, and there are various different things you can do in the game, if the story isn't cutting it for you. There's 3 different open(ish) worlds all with their own unique storyline (it's always the story), Weekly co-op raids and abyss stages, challenge stages and new story events every few weeks (just enjoy the story, ok?). Also, did I mention the amazingly written story, with a lot of animated content? I probably missed that.

Now, of course, we can't forget about the gacha. Or we can since your crystals will be probably a smol 2-digit number in the corner of your screen, collecting dust or something. More than anything Honkai takes time. Give the game enough time (by enjoying the story maybe) and you will have a lot of different characters you can play with. Until then give the starters a chance, they are good.

I'm sure over time most issues with the steam release will be resolved, and players will be able to use their miHoYo accounts for the steam version eventually, but that, like all else takes time. It's not a reason to outright hate the game for it. If you are a new player I definitely recommend trying the game, and see for yourself if it is worth playing or not. You can always download it directly from the official website if you want to avoid the problems on the steam version. You can even play it on your phone which is not a good idea if you ever wish to top-up, since google likes to make your bundles just a bit pricier than they actually are.
