The Outer Wilds taught me acceptance, and the most thought-provoking moments that I personally have ever experienced in gaming, and I wish I could erase my memory and experience it all over again.

With nothing accompanying yourself on your cobbled-together spaceship, besides your Scout Camera, The Outer Wilds allows limitless travel inside the system you inhabit. A murder-mystery, pinboard-style Ship Log tracks everything you learn, and each piece you find connects itself to a much larger and often branching puzzle.

The concepts explored do an excellent job of becoming easily understood (sometimes I tend to be a little slow when it comes to piecing together the larger picture), and if you personally love investigation, this will let your ideas run absolutely crazy. Every piece I found left me with more questions than answers, and it made me all the more excited to continue my investigation.

The soundtrack perfectly accompanies the gameplay, and cradles you into certain feelings that aren't even explicable. There have been so many moments where I have felt angry, upset, even at peace with my current situation. It will have you learning something new with each failure, and reward you with each success.

Never have I had a moment in gaming where I am lost for words, up until the several moments I experienced in The Outer Wilds, and forevermore will I be recommending this title. The emotions I experienced were an an utter steal for the price I paid considering I snagged it on sale, and it's more than worth it's full price tag.

Please, play The Outer Wilds.
