It was literally one material over the limit, I just had to remove a single object from the model and what do you know, it compiled; tested in game for a bit and it works great!

Thanks for the reply! I've decompiled both models (you did indeed isolate the "gasmask.smd"), copied the SMD over and added the line:

Is this all that needs to be added to the QC? I'm currently attempting to recompile it back into an MDL file using Crowbar but am unsure of how to do so, every time I try to compile it I get "ERROR: Too many materials used, max 32", I'm going to assume this is part of the reason you removed the accessories in your mod?

basically, there are 2 possible solutions, the hard one and the easy one. the easy one only requires you to copy and paste .smd (this is NOT the usual way as smd files need the same base/skeleton to function, but in the case like this, both versions of DV zoey got the same base iirc) and edit QC. if this doesn't work, you need to use blender or any 3d software to import all the necessary meshes -> export the gas mask meshes (leave the original mesh alone or just use it as a size reference) -> edit / rewrite QC -> export

are you saying that you want to add the gas mask to the original Division Zoey? the only way to make that work is to decompile both models - use the original Division Zoey as a base - duplicate the gas mask meshes and textures to it and compile it. I think i isolated the gas mask .SMD as a separate file (but i dont remember)... in that case, i think you can try adding the .smd to original DV Zoey, edit the qc and compile it

So I've been trying to replace the backpack accessories from the original "Zoey The Division" mod and keep the gas mask from yours (Scream's Division Zoey - SAS Mask); basically just playing copypasta with the help of GCFScape in hopes of finding success (I have no idea what I'm doing). I think I've isolated the problem in root\models\survivors but I don't think it's as easy as swapping a file at this point right?

Instead of asking you to resurrect the old version for some random internet scroat like myself, perhaps you could point me in the direction of which software I would need to do so? Thank you in advance!

if you've done modding for weapons before it shouldn't be a problem. what i did was combining the valve and ak74 together - making sure that all the bones match and are placed in proper positions (+ the little bullets in the magazine) - then delete the valve mesh. after this you will have to fix the flashlight attachment by relocating it to the new position. and then you will need to test to eliminate "clipping" as the magazine/gun could be too big for the hands
