Project Wingman is an excellent taste of Ace Combat within VR. It's story is strong and linear enough that you are both interested and excited with each passing mission. The supporting cast, mostly just voices within your head, are funny and their quips are entertaining as well. The combat itself is glorious and awe-inspiring.

The only thing keeping me from giving this game a 10/10 is the fact that there are no checkpoints in the game. It is upsetting, but I believe it may have something to do with the limited capability to make sure your position in a aerial space is tracked and saved. Therefore I give it a 9/10

If you love VR and love flying games, but want something akin to Ace Combat then you should get this game!!!

Early Access Review
The game is fantastic, I can't put it down. But there are a few things that I think need to be addressed as soon as possible.

1. Hideouts: At first, they are pretty good to handle and you have a decent chance of either stomping them or losing just barely. However, towards the later part of the game, hideouts begin to assemble with 60+ men in them and you only have 6 to 8 men with you when you go into the battle? How are you supposed to defeat them? You can't even choose who goes in with you so you get stuck with the two random recruits you had in your army. They need to be looked at.

2. Chasing down Enemies: How am I supposed to kill bandits or raid the enemy kingdom's caravans if I can't even manage to catch up to them? They are so unbelievably fast that it is infuriating. I feel like I should not be even given the option to loot them if I can't even catch them.

Despite these two big flaws in my mind, I still truly enjoy the game and i can't wait for all the future updates and additions.
