tldr; a large-scale casual transportation/resource management game; a gem hidden behind a clunky ui, but worth the learning curve.

on the surface, logistical seems like just an achievement spam game due having almost ten thousand (!!!) achievements, but you do have to strategize some in order to fulfill each town's puzzle and unlock its achievements. you can approach the game as laid-back as you want, or be efficient as possible with your resources in order to make the most money and get on the leaderboards for each town.

the logistical 1 base game (covering australia) is a steal even at full price. even at 150+ hours the only module i've 100%'ed so far is chile. there is a life's worth of content in the logistical series, so if you're looking for a quick 100% this is not the game. i also appreciate that logistical 1 and all of its dlc is fully released, so you're not getting roped into buying new dlc each month in order to eventually 100% it.

lastly, the logistical discord community is active, welcoming, and has always been there to help when i've had a technical issue or got stuck on a specific town. much love to them! <3

if you pick this up you'll keep finding yourself wanting to finish just one...more...town!

a gentle, heartwarming game about coping with the loss of a parent, and how food and cooking brings people together. the fact that this game is free/short takes nothing away from its beautiful and emotional storytelling.

A very simple and relaxing color-by-numbers game

Overall, I would definitely recommend trying Coloring Pixels. It's a great game to play when you have some spare time and want to relax, or if you want to play a new game for achievements. Also, finishing a big picture is very satisfying :)

Positive
  • The devs are active in the Steam community and they have listened to and implemented suggestions, and fixed complaints from players.
  • There are frequent updates to the game with bug fixes, new features, and new DLC.
  • Simple background music is included, but there is a mute option it if you prefer to play your own.
  • Controls are very simple and it's quite easy to play with one hand if you need to.
  • Every time the game is launched through Steam you can choose what resolution and graphics settings you want to run the game at (low, medium, high, etc.) I like to play using the lowest settings, but I also play on an old laptop and have had no problems with lag or stuttering.
  • The base game levels have given me 30+ hours of gameplay so far. Pictures can be replayed.

Negative
  • This game really hurts my eyes. I have to turn my monitor's brightness all the way down to tolerate playing. There is an optional night mode, but for me it made things worse.
  • For achievements, you have to buy the DLC to complete the game. I personally think the DLC is worth it, and the devs are worth supporting, but I don't like that there isn't an option to 100% just the base levels if you want to.

Super Blue Boy Planet is a free colorful little pixel game. The game is a <100mb download (quick to install), and ran without problems on my laptop.

Jump on your enemies' heads to vaporize them, SMB style!

I completed the game in around 40 minutes, so it's a great pick for you if you like to hunt achievements and 100ing games.

Business Tour feels like an online multiplayer version of the classic board game Monopoly.

Pros:
- Free to play
- Multiple settings for different types of games (no gadgets, quick 15min game, and 2x2 teams)

Cons:
- In my experience, winning 2x2 games seems very heavily dependent on which team rolls first. (I would like to see the rolls alternate, ex: blue, red, blue, red, rather than blue, blue, red, red)
- Non-team mode does not have an option to choose how many players you want per game. One other person can join the lobby and press "ready" to make a two player match. What if I want to play with three or four players?
- Game-breaking glitches are very common. ex: player disconnects sometimes cause the game to freeze indefinitely, 'leave game' button not working, getting randomly booted from games
- Gadgets enable pay to win mode
- Game is still very new and it can be hard to find a match, especially in early mornings EST

EDIT: Along with the updates, more bugs have been introduced. Even when you win, the 'leave game' button doesn't work. Don't waste your time on this game.
