Amazing sequel to the original

I'm in love all over again, cannot wait to see what new updates bring

Trust in GGG, they are passionate

It's criminal I didn't play this sooner

Get OpenMW, this game runs great on modern hardware with no crashes or bugs that I have encountered with ultrawide support, no config needed

The game itself is insane, I love it and it has ruined many RPGs like how souls games did

It's Helldivers 2 all over again

Developers do not play test their own games

But hey Arrowhead woke up and now Helldivers 2 is in a good spot, try that instead

This game is great, it is a bit tough on the recommended difficulty but I'm loving it

Hoping for more updates, theres a few fixes on the way (like contracts paying less than they should, which can lean into the difficulty)

It is quite relaxed with memorable systems and interesting environmental hazards

I would love the ability to sleep in your bed to advance time, longer systems (they can feel a bit small) and re-chargable batteries, maybe mod support

The microtransactions suck, straight up

However, they do not compromise the experience, everything that is a microtransaction is something you can obtain in game. I do not believe the game was designed around microtransactions at all, as buying a lot of these (e.g. revives, teleport crystals) ruins the experience a bit, as both of these items are something you'd acquire more slowly, and force you to travel on your feet or be more cautious about your encounters. The first game was like this too.

Capcom being capcom, mtx sucks, but it doesn't compromise the experience, do not buy the mtx and encourage this behaviour, but this is also a gem of a game

This is a very good souls-like game, the combat has depth, the magic system is very fun and I'm really enjoying it so far

This completely destroys the original LOTF which I did not like at all

This game is still getting regular updates at the time of my edit - amazing commitment adding new content for free, addressing player issues and really going the extra mile, needs to be said

The co-op could use some work, but it is at least the best iteration of souls-like co-op there is

The exploration feels terrible, although the map is 'big' it feels so shallow

Picking a random spot to land on a planet? Randomly generated buildings spawn within 500m, which in some cases do not make any sense

I landed on a *moon* which has no atmosphere, and there are people there telling me someone went out to gather some plants and got stuck in a cave, there is no life on the planet and nothing on the way, I had to follow the person back for 5 minutes because there are no vehicles

Want to fly to another planet? You can do it in 1 button press, fast travel is absolutely everywhere, the sense of exploration which makes Fallout and Elder Scrolls so great is just missing.

If I want to go to another planet I need to:
- Walk back to my ship (or fast travel)
- Loading screen
- Go into space
- Loading screen
- Open the map, pick a destination
- Loading screen
- Arrive at planet, open map and pick a destination
- Loading screen
- Exit ship
- Loading screen

Or you can also pick the final destination on the map and fast travel directly to that, why can you be in a building in another planet and fast travel to a completely different planet instantly?

Game is buggy which is unsurprising

Performance is bad if you are not on AMD

Do not recommend

- Very bad tutorials
- No character specific tutorials/overviews
- Limited customisation (cannot create loadouts or pick customisation just before a fight)
- No character intros for online 1v1
- 30fps cap in most areas
- Stuttering in cutscenes on high end systems
- Kameo characters feel awkward to use/shoe in
- Characters locked behind a level system/story mode, meaning you have to grind
- You cannot gain exp during practice, vs CPU, or vs a friend online
- Voice chat is ON by default (game doesn't tell you this) and there is no push to talk

If you want a more engaging game, which is easier to pick up and still has a high skill ceiling, play Street Fighter 6 or Guilty Gear Strive

An amazing Armored Core game through and through

Can easily spend a long time tweaking your AC, and the game encourages you to do so, the variety here is insane

Definitely pick it up
