Well. This game was something very special, something I never thought I would experience in a video game. For me it has been a cathartic healing experience. This one had me weeping, diving back into how it had felt when my grandmother died oh so many years ago. How it has been with her. And led me again through the process of how to move on, this time from an adult perspective that allowed me to integrate so much more of all of it.

I'm grateful.

On top of that it is a very lovely gaming experience. Nothing for those seeking a challenge, unless you call facing your inner darkness, sadness and fears a challenge (which of course it very much is, much more than pressing buttons very fast at the right moment, but who am I to tell them...). It's poetic, it's beautiful. It has a perfect pace. It is diverse and gentle. It is one of the exceptionally few games I would consider replaying to see different choices play out, to see how different it feels when I choose another name and outfit and trait, and last but not least to find all of those fireflies.

Needless to say, I recommend Lost Words: Beyond the Pages.
