the concept of this game is unique and amazing. an open world fashion rpg. the potential is endless! but infold dropped the ball on this.

this game is not f2p friendly. i've gotten ONE full limited 5* outfit because it was on release with tons of rewards, and i got the 90diamonds a day thing and the battlepass, and dropped about $30 or more on diamonds. i didn't even get any evolutions of it. i continued to get the daily and battlepass things, did events and quests, and was unable to obtain a full 5* outfit during any version since then. you HAVE to pay money to get full outfits, and even more money to get more colors for them. the company claimed to try to combat FOMO while doing the exact opposite by adding a visible stat of how much of the available clothing you've collected.

furthermore, this game has absolutely terrible optimization. it was already a bit buggy and laggy before, but as of 1.5, it is nearly unplayable at times. all the players are talking about dozens of issues they encounter every day.

and they retconned the entire beginning??? there used to be a different, and arguably better intro to the game, and now it's gone, replaced by something far more confusing for the poor new players. it's all a mess. i haven't seen a single player happy with that change. it was completely unnecessary. it's like they can't decide on a storyline so they changed it IN A LIVE SERVICE GAME.

i hope things get better, because i do love this game, but i wouldn't suggest it to anyone until the glaring issues are resolved.

tldr; I waited 10 years for this game and can say it was worth the wait. Don't listen to grifters telling you it's "woke", every DA game has had queerness, and this game is a MASTERPIECE.

Full review: Every game has flaws, so this certainly does, but generally speaking, this is one of the best games I have ever played. The story is phenomenal. The writers outdid themselves, as usual, although you need to read Tevinter Nights (a book) and play the previous games to FULLY appreciate the story and lore. We got answers to questions posed in games over a decade ago. As a long-time DA fan, this game was so incredibly rewarding. (almost) Everything makes sense now, and it is so gratifying. But even if this is your first DA game, you'll probably love it. I've played other RPGs and story-rich games, and I gotta say, no other game franchise has gotten me so attached to the world and characters. Veilguard and its prequel, Inquisition, are easily the most emotionally intense games I have ever played. Maybe that's just my autism, but I know of others who feel the same. Inquisition won GOTY for a reason, and I think Veilguard might too.

If you're worried about the game being too "woke" or "forcing" LGBTQIA+ onto you... My first instinct is to say, don't play the game, because DA has always been queer since the first game-- but I'll also say that you can literally just not make your character queer at all. You can avoid Taash's companion quests or skip the cutscenes if you hate it that much. Stories like Taash's are written by queer people for queer people, and the allies who support us. I do think there are a couple of rough spots in Taash's story, but that's with every companion. Just keep in mind that not everything is made to be relatable to you specifically, and try not to get angry about that.

Finally, if Trick Weekes ever sees this, I LOVE YOU. Thank you for giving Solavellan the ending they deserved (well, one of the endings, idk about the others) because I have been waiting and praying. You did a masterful job writing Solas and he is easily one of my favorite characters of all time, not because I like him as a person, but because of how well and thoughtfully he is written. I have loved watching his story unfold. Thank you.

this game is adorable and so relaxing. the community is so chill and friendly. there are so many silly things to do and no stress. i'm excited to watch this game grow as it gains the popularity it deserves. and i'm hyped for future updates! i'd like to be a fox :3 and being able to favorite or organize our inventory would be cool, or have a storage system. thanks for such a cool game!

I love this game.

I have ADHD and a lot of issues with motivation. But this game has genuinely helped me get ♥♥♥♥ done. The art style is adorable, I love the spirit companions, i love the customization, and I LOVE that there are bigger body types. The timer function is perfect for people with ADHD.

A few suggestions:
- More clothes (maybe some skirts?)
- More customization (like rabbit ears or dog ears)
- More spirit companions
- More decor options
- More sounds (pencil on paper sound maybe?)

Anyway, big thanks to the creators of this game for making such a fun-to-use tool for neurodivergent and neurotypical people alike!
