Gameplay
The main part of the experience is built as several rooms of a virtual museum where you can walk around and look at all “82 models of real-world ancient works of art”. All the models look great. These 3D photo scans feel almost perfect. They are detailed and you can see the depth and different textures.

This not a guided tour unfortunately which feels like a missed opportunity. Every exhibit in the museum has a small plaque next to it and this is the only information you are given. There is also the “Archive” part of the experience where you can explore exhibits individually and read the history behind them. There is a lot of text to read (which I wish was narrated) but the developer at least made sure it was easy to read in VR.

Controls
The Grand Museum VR can only be played with a gamepad (seated or standing). You cannot interact with anything. There is no locomotion, only teleport. The teleport halo follows your gaze (I wish there was any other way because it is distracting) and you push a button on your controller to move around.

Verdict
I recommend buying this VR experience (preferably at a discount) if you know what you are getting. It is not interactive and there is no narration. What you see on the screenshots is what you get plus pleasant piano music. I found The Grand Museum VR to be relaxing and informative, but also very limited.
