Let me begin by saying that I am not a fan of IllFonic. They controversially banned some players in F13 due to emergent gameplay and their spokesperson in the Steam forums was notoriously rude and abrasive. Additionally, there is likely some merit to them having utilized auction sites to sell the "Savini" Jason class, not skin, class (with game altering effects) designed by Savini himself and locked behind a Kickstarter campaign at a premium -- some I'd seen sold for 400 USD.

That all said, I figured that this game was going to be terrible. It was known a year ago that it was bad.

I wanted to hate it -- but it is done so well. The price is high, but what is offered is a really stripped down asymmetrical experience of the original "Predator" movie that, in the hour I spent, played in a balanced manner. Three games, two losses, one win as fireteam. Had I known it was this serviceable I'd perhaps have picked it up on EGS, but today, my tolerance for a company I despise has already been tested, and, it is here on Steam.
