LinusTechTips once again shows their sheer ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incompetence. Mumble has been using the Opus codec by default for a long time now, the exact same audio codec that Discord uses. Furthermore, Mumble uses constant bitrate encoding (CBR) over variable bitrate encoding (VBR), so it's technically higher quality than Discord as it retains more data and therefore is closer to lossless audio. On top of this, the test was carried out using MP3 audio recordings which could have been not even highest bitrate, which they probably aren't considering the downloadable audio clips aren't even 320kbps. Even then, who knows how the audio was recorded? It could have been authored using a ♥♥♥♥ audio sample rate in ♥♥♥♥ software using a ♥♥♥♥ audio interface.

There are so many issues with this test, you either have to be completely clueless (highly likely after seeing other videos on this channel) or you have to be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shill for paid software (EXTREMELY likely after seeing other videos on this channel) to consider this test as accurate and just. I'm not even an audio expert and I can point this ♥♥♥♥ out. I like how good the feature comparison is as well. I like how they completely neglect to talk about the positional audio feature available on TS3 and Mumble, and how they feature plugins because they are actual pieces of software, unlike Discord which is essentially a webpage hovering on your desktop like a window.
