From my experience of Team Fortress 2, I had a lot of fun from when I started and where I am now. The big question is...

Yes, I think this game is my most favorite out of my entire library. For a game given a price of free, I think it gives itself too much credit for itself. The amount of content of a free first-person shooter would probably contain five maps or so and limited weapons. Team Fortress gives you at least 200+ weapons and about 100 maps available.

It's a very casual and silly FPS game while having a slight competitive feel.
For unskilled FPS players, the game throws you in with no real forced tutorial which may confuse many players and the description with each class is very scarce. The skill and learning curve is pretty big but do what you do. Learn!

For competitive players, the casual mode is probably the most unbalanced thing ever but it's not too big of a problem since communities hosting their competitive seasons with specific rulesets such as banned weapons, maps, and player count limits. (6v6, 9v9, Highlander, etc.)

I'm writing this right now just to point out how I had about 1.7k hours with the game (as of August 2017) and to show the appreciation I had over the years with this game.
