Kto by si nechcel odtrhnúť čerstvý citrón alebo pomaranč zo záhrady? I keď naše podnebie také niečo neumožňuje, čoraz viac ľudí objavuje pestovanie citrusov v kvetináčoch, ktoré sa dajú zimovať v domácnosti.

Pestovanie citrusov v našich zemepisných šírkach nie je žiadna novinka. V bohatých šľachtických rodinách sa citrusy v severnejších častiach Európy pestovali už v 17. storočí. Slúžili na to špeciálne vyhrievané skleníky, v ktorých spolu s inými tropickými a subtropickými rastlinami citrusy prezimovali. Na pestovanie citrusov však v súčasnosti nepotrebujete žiadne špeciálne vybavenie ani veľké skleníky. Postačí vám na to slnečné stanovište pri okne a trocha trpezlivosti.
