The Naruto Ultimate Ninja games always used to be a guilty pleasure for me growing up because they were just these simple, not-at-all-impressive fighters, and I was just excited to be able to play a Naruto game. But with Ninja Storm 4, CyberConnect 2 really killed it; after numerous entries in the series, they've perfected the art of concentrating the magnificence of Naruto into game form.

This game covers the final arc of Shippuden, and most of the show's main points have been lovingly converted into 3D cutscenes that all look impressive, sometimes even rivaling the anime itself! People like to hate on 3D animation for anime, but if it's done in this type of style with this much care and work put into it, the results can look crazy, and I'd enjoy a series that can take it to this level.

All of the special and ultimate moves in this game also have these crazy animations that truly scale what kind of wild power you're throwing out there, and it makes each fight just as intense and fun as your first one! There's so many characters and variants in this entry as well, so chances are, you're gonna have more than a handful of your favorites to choose from.

It's just impressive that with how many games in this series they've put out, it has yet to feel like a cash grab, and each new Ultimate Ninja Storm game has me buying it at launch so I can do my diligence as a weeb and test out all the new characters, get perfect ranks on all of the story missions, and look at every cool, new animation. CyberConnect 2 has definitely earned the title of best Naruto game developer, (not that they have much competition these days), and I continue to look forward to what they're putting out.
