Its a good change of pace compared to other games where you can easily beat it within a few hours or so, there is an "easy mode" but you cant beat the game if you play on it, if you want to see the ending you have you play on normal mode.
And once you beat the final boss youll be greeted to Expert Mode which makes the bosses alot harder, if you manage to defeat every boss on Expert youll get the shiny achivement "Beat the Devil at his own game" which is one of the least gotten achivements.
