Recipe:Egg Banjo
Description: Actually chaps, its a posh RAF term for a fried egg in a roll. Enjoy. Its really messy
Preparation Time: Negligible
Cooking Time: .2 to 3 minutes
Ingredients:
Per Person

1 egg
1 bread roll – wholemeal or white as preferred. Large soft baps are best.
Oil for frying (or use butter)
Sauce – brown or tomato as preferred
Butter or margarine for the rolls – if preferred

Cooking Method:
Cut the baps in half and lightly butter both sides.
Place oil or butter in the frying pan and heat
Break the egg into the pan and cook, using a knife or spatula to coat the egg in oil as it fries.


Serve
Place the fried egg onto the bap, add sauce.
Enjoy.

The name comes from the action of wiping the sauce and egg from your clean clothes – just as if playing an air banjo
