i know that Terraria is a big inspiration for this game, but I'm begging you, it took me more than a decade to be able to run Terraria over 60fps. Please do not design this game with locked 60 fps in mind. It's 2024, these kinds of games are the prettiest and most performant.

There was finally a mod released that allowed for unlocked framerate and it completely changes the game feel. There are ways to implement high FPS that dont require more sprite work either. Please for the love of god dont make the same mistake as Terraria this game seems like it could genuinely be really good.

or at the very least optimize the cursor to run at monitor refresh rate (this is not an actual replacement for high fps gameplay imo, and is really the absolute bare minimum that needs to be done for high refresh rate support)

spend your time doing anything else. leave the house and go make some girl at a bar uncomfortable, or murder some well off family in their remote villa, go sweep the legs out from under a little kid playing basketball at your local park. literally anything else is a better use of your time.
