Shenmue 1 and 2 revolutionized the open-world genre, with fantastic characters and storytelling. The game might have aged quite a bit (it's been over 25 years), but it is still a gem

Another half-cooked RGG game stuck in the 90s-2000s de sig-wise. Game play is awful (however an upgrade from the horrendous gameplay of judgment), yet the game is more or less the same with some new annoying stuff (parkour which is ridiculously implemented)

Bad story and bad side quests as usual with all three games.

They also added a lot of cutscenes. A lot of times you are barely walking from place A to B (some times as short as a few meters) to get from one cutscene to the next one. It feels like a Kojima game at times

Unless you love Yakuza games, don't get this one. It is just one of those half-baked Japanese games that has been stuck in the 2000s. Poor gameplay, cheese story, boring side quests, horrible fighting and a lot of annoying forced elements in quests (tailing people, inspecting the environment). There's also a lot of missed voice acting replaced with just text (again, classic from Japanese games, but outdated for the past 10-15 years)

While I must admit horror is not a genre I am fond of, I wanted to play this game as I am a big fan of Dishonored. Unfortunately, the experience was not as enjoyable. I felt the gameplay quite flat, with few weapons that didn't make too much of a different one to another, some powers that laid in the same field, and some room for stealth that doesn't seem to be well constructed (it seems to be aimed in a similar way to Deus Ex games, but fails miserably). As someone said in a review, you can get hacking abilities, yet 90% of the doors are locked with keycards, which is a bit of a cheat against this ability. I also found most of quests require a lot of backtracking or going from point A, to B, to C, to A multiple times (reminded me of early 2000's games)

The story was quite good, and that is the highlight here. I would say you should get this on sale and if you are a fan of the space/horror genre.

Crazy fun single-player version of Escape From Tarkov but from a top-down perspective and from devs that seem to care about their clients. Think of EFT meets Hotline Miami, with base-building (for own upgrades/quests mostly, not for defense, as far as I can tell)

Trust me, get it, it is a steal. The parody component is quite low compared to the QOL upgrades in the game and how well it plays.

Things I'd like to see in the future or EFD 2:
- Co-op
- PvP (but not the main focus of the game)
- First person mode, but I'm aware this would increase the complexity tremendously.

Brilliant game with simply mechanics. This is far from Inscryption but still has it's own charm

I unfortunately didn't like this one. It is far from Pony Island or Inscryption (an absolute masterpiece). While I do value him trying to tell the story of a dev and creating many classic games (pokemon, fallout, doom?), seems a bit all over the place, and it bored me a little.

Decent walking simulator / interactive movie. Kojima would be proud of this.

Nah.

A portal-like game with a good concept, however somewhat poorly executed. The idea is quite good, but you will most often end up solving puzzles by breaking the environment (yes, sometimes you do need to do it, but those that played the game will understand what I mean), rather than by putting together pieces of a a puzzle. The story was hit or miss as well.

If you want to play it, wait for an 80-90% sale.
