Like Tomb Raider mixed with Unreal Tournament.
And the occasional Wario Land like strange but fun puzzles.
Extremely fun and often punishing on harder difficulties (like playing UT2004 against 20 godlike bots)
Lovable bratty main character and Story, and the humor is also great.
And the Game is huuuge with lots of replayability on the custom game modes.

There's Jank though, some Areas are unpolished und slightly buggy, however there aren't serious bugs like where could fall through a floor.
And some of the Teleporter Puzzle maps are a crime against humanity though with how hard they are.

If your a dad an by this game for your kids, then be prepared to be the one solving the punishing puzzle maps. Like my dad solved the hard parts of Megaman on my Gameboy back in the day.
(This could be good though, who doesn't want to be in dad-mode when the little ones can't beat the game level and call dad)

Also this game is really heavy in some maps, my 7900xtx barely gets 70fps at 4K

The time & love the devs have put into the game is unreal, with the amount of content, unreal amount of weapons and constant new updates that always seem like new medium sized DLCs.

Extremely underrated game. Would strongly recommend.

A Game that looks great, runs great, has a great combat system, a great story and is polished to the high heavens in this day and age? And a super attractive main character? With the jiggle and all? With no preachy ideology stuffed down your face every 5 minutes? AND it's not a MMO or a Gacha game? Unheard of.

Yup, and i've waited 5 years for this game.

Basically this the successor of Nier Automata.
Thankfully the Devs went with a good UE4 build and not the absolute mess that is UE5.

The good:
- Eve. a likeable main character, very good looking, a bit cardboardy in personality as some have said, but she's this generations' 2B.
- good story. not great, but few reach the depths of insanity that was Automata's twisted and tangled story with it's multiple "endings" that each played into each other
- Art direction. just fantastic.
- highly moddable thanks to UE4. also the untold number of costume mods that will come out for Eve will cause the usual bitter suspects to rage without end.
- similar to Nier Automata or a recent Devil May Cry game, the polish in this game is next level
You can usually quickly see how much thought, love and polish was put into the game by looking at the main characters moveset. 2B and Dante&Co had a extensive moveset that was extremely fluid, Eve has a similar level - if the playable character feels THIS fluid you can expect the rest of the game to be highly polished as well.
- extensive (over 100+) costumes for Eve
- fun combat system
- high replayability
- runs really great, although 72fps @ 4k and +72fps from Lossless Scaling for 144Hz really pushes my 7900xtx to the max, even with FSR on. could not get MHWilds or DDogma2 to work without massive stutters for example.
- extensive PC performance settings, DLSS4 or FSR3 (not FSR4 yet) stacked on top. completely unknown for lots of Asian devs (i'm looking at you Fromsoft)
- this is the only game i will buy this year. Western devs, you had no product of similar love this year (maybe Exp33), so to the eastern devs to money goes.
- bug free? runs great? yeah the game just works, without any pains the other recent AAA games have.
- the devs also are absolute chads. they added an untold number of features to the game during the last year, added dozens of costumes. they also understand 'fan service'. fan service is not just nudity and panty shots, it's respecting and listening to your customers and actually implement what they want into their product. i suppose being the devs of Nikke, a Gacha butt physics waifu game, thought them that.

The bad:
- 90 euro price (with DLCs), uff that stings.
- Denuvo is a slap in the face.
- Textures look a bit low res at times, even at 4k
- Yellow Paint everywhere, not just a bit, but A LOT. Yellow Paint usually means that the devs could not make it intuitive enough where you should go for normal players. Would like a Yellow Paint OFF toggle.
- had to wait another year for this game until Sony's PS exclusivity ran out
- you are giving a lot of money to Sony which they absolutely did not earn if you check their business practices and hostile ideology in the last 10 years
