It might have been a bit too conversational given the medium. I was basically acknowledging and agreeing. "That is a good one." refers to the synchronisation event. "Chance!" was just an exclamation about how interesting things can happen by chance.

It makes more sense if you imagine it being said by an excitable and demonstrative Scotsman.

You do know that steam hours is based on in game time, meaning that how long you have the game on = hours played on the game so you can afk the game and accumalate a ton of hours without playing the game.
