Kinda chill and fun and the *perfect* game to slap on a SteamDeck.

Found the model downloader. Searched for Steamdeck, got a Steam Duck.

A seriously fun VR experience, and one of the very few times where teleport-only movement makes sense (really, without the teleport movement this game would be way less fun). While it didn’t take an age to play all levels, the playtime I got from this, plus the quality of the gameplay I enjoyed, make it absolutely worth the price.

Big recommend.

I'll say up front that I've had a couple of issues with this game, one of them pretty much game-breaking, which needed that I start from scratch (thankfully I wasn't far in, and really it was as much on me as the game in that I was just using the single save slot); it also has some unfortunate UI choices that you have to watch out for (it's too easy to click some things that have no "are you sure?" check, like existing the game). Point being: it has some very rough edges.

But... I'm honestly having a blast with this. For the fun I'm having it's easily worth the sale price I got it at (around £8 I believe). If you love ITR or similar, and want something else with a similar vibe, and don't mind that it's a little more "on rails" as opposed to being more open, I'd absolutely recommend.

I'm really enjoying it, and look forward to seeing where it goes.

As of the time of writing it's about six years ago that I played this. I still think about this. It hit at the right time. I suspect it's a "you'll love it or you'll hate it" game.

It's Portal 2; what else is there to say? Utterly amazing game that, despite being all about puzzles, never gets old and boring.

And now I'm playing it through again in VR and it's even more amazing!

Bought this while it was on sale, not expecting too much but curious about how cycling could be done in VR. What a delightful surprise! This is really fun, really immersive, and even as someone who hasn't sat on a bike for over a decade (and then only as a method of getting places), it really makes you feel like you can race downhill and feel badass.

As VR sports sims go, this is up there with the best. I really hope this carries on being developed and the full career mode and online play turn up.

Note: at the time of writing, I don't feel there's quite enough content to warrant the current full price, but it's not far off. If you see this in a sale though, don't think twice; grab it.

Update: I wrote this review when I was about 90 minutes into the game. I'm now around 10 hours in and still loving it. Also, the game is growing, more content has turned up in that time, with more planned. So as of the time of writing *this* update, I'd say at the current full price it is absolutely worth getting. If you like thrilling VR experiences this will not disappoint.

A great little VR experience. Live out your Babylon 5 or BSG fantasies, stood in your own living room.

I'm actually kind of annoyed with myself that I didn't discover this sooner. This was really fun VR. Easy to get into, with plenty of fun challenges, but also very doable and very playable. Finishing this has meant I will 100% be getting Vertigo 2 and playing that through.

I don't know what I was expecting. I don't think I was expecting this. This made it all the more fun.

Get it.

Just get it.
