I have mixed opinions about Observation, a game in the 'Something Goes Wrong in Space' genre. While I enjoyed the beginning and the role of being the station's AI, the frequent lack of a map and controls (especially mouse acceleration) made navigation and certain tasks difficult, and I would have preferred if the story stayed as realistic as the space disaster at the beginning felt.

Spoilers! I loved the game at first, but the ending refused to explain anything, in that frustrating way modern horror does these days. All of the standard tropes of People Behaving Out of Character, Blood on the Walls, and Infinite Duplicates show up, and the Spooky Hexagon of Saturn refuses to give us any coherent answers, instead forcing us to play Simon Says for its amusement. How did we get from Earth to Saturn in no time at all? Why is everyone on the second space station (including another SAM) apparently evil (but sans goatee)? Why isn't Emma even remotely surprised to find earthlike terrain on Saturn's pole? The answer apparently lies in way too many minigames.
