Yes, you can still play on older machines with the given system requirements. Running on Aspire_R5 (2016) model with a Core i5 (7th gen), 12 GB RAM, and SSD. Graphics all on LOW, but still reaching 30fps at 1920x1080.

EDIT: After re-installing the game, it does in fact work now. A little buggy here and there but still playable on Windows 10 without compatibility mode turned on.

This game does't support Windows 10. Be warned:

I received this error while trying to launch this game on my Windows 10 PC. I tried switching the .exe launch file to a compatibility mode, but the problem still persists. No knowns solutions as of Sept 2016.
