Great fun, flat-out.

This is a very strange game. It's best to think of it somewhere between a cozy idle game and a very loose puzzle. To enjoy this game, you'll need to enjoy reading a LOT of in-game lore and figuring out how disparate sources connect to each other in non-obvious ways. It is also essential to take extensive notes--not just a little notepad, but probably a full-blown spreadsheet. You could use a wiki, but even that's not the best way to quickly access and remember important things for your own play-through. It is a SLOW experience, but very rich, and it rewards allowing yourself to be immersed in what it offers.

If you'd prefer something more direct, action-oriented, or challenge-forward, this might not be the title for
you. However, if the idea of sitting down on a foggy day with a mug of tea and some time to think about what to do next sounds like fun, this is something you should try. ESPECIALLY if you enjoyed the world building in Cultist Simulator, but found the pace of that game more frantic and desperate than you'd prefer. Those who like this game will probably love it.

It's a cute idea presented in a visually appealing way, but the game is essentially busywork as a core loop. You can't make any meaningful decisions on a narrative or interactive level, and you can't get improve your experience by getting better at the game as a player. If you want to burn a few IRL hours watching some cute blacksmithing animations, this'll do for you, but I didn't find it terribly satisfying.

Neat concept, excellent graphics, INCREDIBLE soundtrack. Gameplay is frustrating more often than I'd prefer, but that's adjustable with update 1.0.4.7. Seriously, the soundtrack is absolutely amazing and the game's worth it for that alone.

Played as far as the sewer level on Journeyman. Competent, inoffensive, but nothing to shock or astound you aside from some cool terrain destruction set-piece elements. Great music, smooth action. I'll come back once it leaves early access.

Great fun. A relic of 1981, to be sure, but worth giving a solid try for the joy and the history of it. Suffer well!

I don't just love this game--from the perspective of a game developer AND a tabletop RPG player for more than 20 years, I am *humbled* by it.

Secret Word: Justice

I'd say I'm kind of irritated that this "game" was a series of cold-reading questions, but I paid less than $2 for it, so I'm not sure how much I can complain.

Without spoilers for people who want to play it anyway, I found the writing and overall impact of the ending sequence to be deeply unwelcome. If I had known ahead of time that's how it was going to go, I wouldn't have played it in the first place. I would advise you to skip this one.
