Not much fun if you're looking for a gentle, smooth play and captivating story. Tedious planning with little reward even after adjusting the difficulty. Quests and background lore does not feel well paced and caused me to skip forward much of the dialog. I had to take breaks to digest and come back to reread the logs. Also the music, graphics and outcomes are just too depressing for my taste. Too old, boring and lacking originality. I'd advise it to masochistic grim-dark fans perhaps.

Terrible DLC not justified for the asking price. Wait for a sale. Consider buying when bugs are fixed in a few years and price is down to $4.99 - $7.99 range.

I like a lot of things so it doesn't necessarily mean too much on it's own. But this game, I recommend, especially if you are into exploring and roleplaying. Great story and lore for anyone who's thirsty for a good old fashioned Vernian adventure.

It's a great adventure on the seas. If you liked games like Bladur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Arcanum, you will like this game.

I felt as if i'd been there & done that. Not so intuitive as the real game (Civ). Can't shake off the feel that I'm playing a lightly modified civ. But an archaic version. I'll give it another try sometime when I have no better games around.

You can't customize the game and it breaks the immersion for me because developer is too lazy to add more than 12 portraits whom all look the same.

Can't start game and I've tried every solution, Did the uninstall, reinstall, verify integrity, etc. PC system is good. Play any other game with no problem. Changed settings, resolutions, windowed, full screen to no avail. I give up.

EDIT: Did clean uninstall and reinstalled it on a different drive. It works as intended. Changed my review to recommend.

Good game, greedy corporation policies regarding DLC's. Most of them should be in game to begin with.

It's better than what I was expecting. I like the design and the adventure.

Reminds me of old school civilization but technology is restricted to Bronze and Iron Ages only. Doesn't let you play factions that you could be interested until you have suffered enough with the factions the developer decides you should play. You can either play main scenario or the DLC scenarios, or an AI generated random world, which is quite fun.
