The first weeks of the game are lonely and the main party is painfully distant to you as you do not know them yet but this changes as the game progresses.
One of the core things you do in Persona games is you spend your free time with acquaintances and strengthen your Social Links with them by coming to understand their personalities and motivations and in the end you usually end up helping them solve a core life changing problem in their lives and this in turn makes both of you stronger.
