It took about a year, but with the most recent couple of patches the game is now in the sort of state it should have been in at launch.

There are still design decisions that I disagree with, such as the way crafting locks are implemented, but the game has improved enough elsewhere that I've at least reached the point of "agree to disagree" on those and accept that FatShark aren't going to change their minds.

It's always been a game that I enjoyed, but previously there were so many areas of frustration that I couldn't recommend it in good conscience. If you were interested in the game but not yet invested, I'd have said "wait for things to get better"; now I'll say "go ahead, you'll have fun".
