Excellent movement FPS combat with some inventive abilities and modifiers, but the roguelite progression is a slog in conjunction with the same few rooms every run. Still worth it for the weapon variety and satisfying room clears, in addition to strong optimization.

Wow - probably the most fun I've had with a Steam game in months.

I can't believe how addictive this roguelike is.
Even though this is modeled off Suika, it does enough to expand on it.
I tend to stray away from the deckbuilder side of the genre but this iteration is straightforward and unique with its different decks.
The dog barks are hysterical every time they merge and yap mid-game.
My wins were earned right at the brink of losing, creating a pulse-pounding experience every time instead of feeling like I've lost at any given point.
Fantastic game I'll be sinking tons of hours into!

A hard pass for this sim. A case of a great concept that is squandered by a dev that doesn't listen to its players, as the best item in the game was MASSIVELY nerfed to artificially elongate the runtime. Really stinks to see the dev not budge here as it's the chief complaint in the majority of negative reviews, preventing the title from being a hit.

Not often a story checks all the boxes to the point I'm crying for 3 hours straight.
A magnificent, evocative journey of communication, bonds, and the meaning of family.
Blinking, smiling/frowning, and head-turning all make for a deeply-immersive experience.
Several branching dialogues that warrant multiple playthroughs.
Very much recommended alongside Before Your Eyes.

The kids yearn for Telltale

Unplayable difficulty level where minor mistakes = run over. Needs tons of tuning for release.

Had an absolute blast playing this game up until the power scaling superseded the visual clarity. You literally cannot see damage fields in high-level play. It becomes a game of kiting in a circle and hoping your build can eliminate a 6 billion health boss.

GOTY. It's a rare roguelike where experimentation and getting out of your comfort zone becomes rewarding thanks to a near-perfect balance and temperate difficulty ceiling. You WILL find a character to dominate with based on your playstyle. You WILL get huge dopamine when you melt bosses in seconds.
