Really wanted to like it, but it's one of those games you need to crouch walk for most of the game to even survive.

Really fun little game that I like the style of.
Great atmosphere & style.

Yes it's unpolished, it's a solo-dev who doesn't seem to be doing this full time. But what's there is really charming, especially with the weapon switch tech you can pull off.

One of the most (potentially) fun online shooters I have played in a while with a very interesting mix of serious gameplay and silly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's not quite the splinter cell guards vs infiltrators mode, but it's aiming for a similar target. Imagine R6 Siege but with a focus on physics and careful use of the few tools you get.

The trouble is you have to have friends. Playing this with friends is an incredible experience. The game isn't finished and the playerbase isn't incredible... there is something there is just needs more time in the oven.

Playerbase is kinda toxic but it's a mixed bag so there are some good ducks. It's been said before but it's bizarre just how "sweaty" the majority of players are for a game with content this silly.

Even cheap this game just isn't interesting enough to be worth your money. Get something else.

Perfect little RPG to dive deep into, or play on and off.

An ultima style game with a lot of great feedback and vibes.
Oldschool in the traditional way, but it GIVES you a clue keeping notebook which is a huge bonus.

My favorite multiplayer horror game. Both playing killers and survivors are a ton of fun with a lot of options.
The game is actually quite balanced, but when starting out before you have those options, it doesn't feel that way.

I will say to avoid the community outside of the game itself as a lot of them came from other games and tend to be a bit... critical of something that's already in a pretty good state as is.

There's a handful of maps right now but maybe that's a good thing as some of them are big and take time to master.
Seriously though, if you are considering it especially if you are considering it with a friend? Check this out.

It's not great. The lore is very sparse and even by the end you don't get an explanation. The maps are massive, but often you end up roaming maps empty of enemies.
It ends without too many answers, or at the least the ones you get aren't hugely satisfying.

What should have been a memorable experience was quite quickly forgotten by me.

Most recent patch has tremendously improved balance and core gameplay.

It has a learning curve in regards to knowing how to deal with how slow the weapons are, accuracy, but once you are past that it's an absolute blast.
Learn the classes RIFLEMAN IS SUPPORT. Mountaineer is essential for giving info to the squad leaders.
Engineer slows down the enemy considerably which can make or break a team on defense.

It's not that good. Shank 1 came out at a very particular time in indie games, and the popularization of them. It was very lucky to have dropped during that EXACT Xbox 360 Paid for indie games era.

Shank 2 is a slightly above average brawler.
The grindhouse stylings and gore aren't special anymore. The combat is just kind of decent. The story is... pretty okay.
At this point you're just buying it for the style and it having been better than Shank 1.
