Just not quite there as a deus ex game, at least not at full retail price of 30 dollars.

The game lacks the globetrotting feeling of human revolution and the first Deus Ex. You spend most of your time just walking between a few districts in prague, and the city itself doesn't feel that deep. Much of the areas feel like a backdrop, with unaccessible doors and obvious player boundaries.

I'll give credit, the combat and augs are much more fleshed out. Combat is satisfying, the weapons have impact, and the upgrades give you the chance to have a varied arsenal. Ditto for the augs, although I didn't really dive deep into the experimental augs

I think the main problem with the game is that it just feels unfinished. There isn't a whole lot of content here and the story just seems to end out of nowhere. You're in the middle of a mission, then you beat a boss and that's it. Credits roll. It's as if they were setting up a sequel or DLC that never came. I did almost every side mission and messed around a lot and I beat this game in 20 hours, that just feels like a poor value for 30 dollars.

Is it a BAD game? No. Is it a game worth 30 dollars? Nah. I bought it for 5 bucks and for that money I had my fun
