Met this guy through a Counter-Strike match — seemed like a solid dude. Funny in voice chat, decent aim, talked a lot about "tactics" and his "mental edge." We got along, so we decided to meet up IRL.

Regret it instantly.

He showed up wearing leather gloves. Not because it was cold — just “for grip.” Brought his own salt shaker in his pocket. Sat down at the café and ordered “whatever dish pairs best with dominance.”

He made intense eye contact the entire meal, like we were in a hostage negotiation. Kept referring to the waiter as "short-term NPC." Tried to pay in casino chips.

Midway through lunch, he pulled out a laminated flowchart labeled “Friendship Ranking System – Beta” and asked what tier I thought he was in. I said I had to go, and he whispered, “CS was just the beginning, my pupil.”
