I have been able to playtest & livestream this game ahead of launch and I loved it.

1 playthrough, 6/7 professions claimed, story mode completed took me around 55 hours to complete!
And I have not even done any decorations, I have not finished all professions & not found all the (secret) books!

So there is PLENTY of content in this game already!

If you like ''They are Billions'' you will most likely love this game as well.

I have been playing this game for years, got in when it went into early access in 2017 and loved it ever since!

Medium & lower difficulties are great for beginners and everything above Hard gives a really good challenge if you want it!

I am excited to see what else might come in the future and/or looking forward to other games from Slug Disco!

I have enjoyed every minute I spend in this game so far.
There is still ''missing'' content of course, but its a Early Access game.

I was allowed to play this early, and I must say that even with somethings being a bit ''janky'' is it a fun game to play.
I personally love open world Survival & city building type games & this game combines both of those.

The melee combat is a bit janky, but ones you get used to it, upgrade your combat abilities & get new skills it becomes a lot better.
The best thin you can do in combat, SHOOT the knee of an enemy, then they will not be able to run & attack you for a few seconds, then run towards them an smack them with your sword & REPEAT!
Easiest way to deal with enemies.

The village building is a lot of fun, looks great, but for sure could use some improvements like being able to build MULTIPLE road tiles instead of placing 1 going back to the menu, select it and build again.

I am excited to see improvements made to the game that make it even better.

Streamed the game for about 2 hours, here is my take on it.

Negative feedback:
1. It's NOT an Open World game, I think that should not be listed on Steam IMO. The overworld map you use for traveling between places is to slow, it takes ages to ''walk'' to a location. There are portal items but they only go to mayor cities.
2. Optimization ATM is not the best, getting around 55 fps when walking around, in combat it drops to 30-40 which makes aiming your spell correctly hard. (using RTX 2080 Super & AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT)

Edit - 3. I forgot that I found a bug where I could not use my spells after fast-travel, pressing CTRL twice to cycle through the hot bars fixed it.

Positive Feedback:
1. The game does a GREAT job at making you feel good about doing anything at all with the MANY skill level-ups & in-game achievements
2. I really liked the Rune learning process, however, I would suggest a progress bar or something, because I felt like I had to keep going forever.
3. The many different options in weapons & magic are amazing, there is a LOT to choose from.

Good but difficult game in the beginning.
It will certainly take some player time to learn the enemy attacks & habits, experimenting with different weapon types & upgrading gear before you really get the hang of it.

Example: First time I fought UBAANI (Second boss) it took 1.5hour in total to beat, and around 5/10min fight time. (no upgrades)
The last time that I beat him, I did it first try in under 3 min. With level 2/3 upgrades on gear & Weapon.

After learning its move set it becomes SOOO much easier, and don't forget, PARRY the attacks as much as possible!

If you are looking for a MEDIEVAL DYNASTY experience (even its EA version), this game is not for you at the moment of writing this.
I don't give negative reviews often but sadly this time I will.

Performance in general is not great, very choppy. Graphic's are from like 5/10 years ago (which is not bad perse, but not good either)
The Dialog for quests are to long and trying WAY to hard to be funny, and often makes you forget the reason of the conversation in the first place.

Only played for a little over 2 hours but then I got stuck on a quest that would not continue so I tried to ''save & load'' but than I got stuck on the loading screen, waited for about 3/4min, force quit the game, verified game files, and than got stuck again for 3/4min before I gave up.

I will wait a little while for updates to it, and then try again, but for now I cannot recommend it.

I have really enjoyed playing this game. Its a very chill city building/colony management game, I love the Unique symbiosis between Humans & the ''Onbu''.

Graphics/art-style is some getting used to as I usually don't play games with this sort of style, but I think it looks great when you ''zoom in'' into your Village and see them all walking around.
Being able to cure, heal, etc the Onbu is very well done.
AND YESSS YOU CAN ''PET" IT! 10/10 only because of that.
If you are LIVESTREAMING this on Twitch then you can connect your account and have viewers names in the game & the Chat can decide where to go to!

Only slight problem I encountered was the TRUST thing, I don't know if you can see it anywhere, but it seems completely random whether or not the Onbu will listen to you.

Suggestion:
1. Something that shows the trust (with a % chance of listening I guess)
2. For the Twitch names, would be good if there was a list of the humans in your village where you can look at the different names and maybe nametags above the humans with the Twitch names.

I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a chill city building game with a little extra challenge as you have to survive the elements.
