Addition/Edit: I put the game on my steam deck since I'll actually be using it. Did a test run. After a little finagling, I got my controls to work just fine. I can't remember exactly what, but I did turn off steam input and set the controls to gamepad. It plays great on it. I don't use my steam deck much/enough to be as used to the 'controller' over say my ds4. But it works and I'm sure I would get used to it with more time.

Loved the demo, but was worried it would be too bullet hell for me (a person who played Maiden & Spelll, aka the dev's previous game, and enjoys raids in FFXIV). But, dev-sama changed the bullet hell to fit more like raid mechanics. I'm super happy with the game. I knew I would love it, but I haven't been in love with something this hard for a long long time. It feels good to be able to unconditionally enjoy things. I might get frustrated due to some issues I got making things a bit harder for me, but I'll get over it and keep going.

TL;DR
Get the game if you like ffxiv raids and/or even bullet hells. There are lobbies/pf-esque menu to find random parties if you don't want to play purely solo. Solo is a bit more 'bullet hell' (though they are telegraphed) while co-op is more 'mechanic' heavy (due to stuff like spreads/stacks/matches). As a person who is neutral to bullet hell, I found solo to be fun enough I'm not worried about the party up playerbase dwindling. Take that into consideration though

I'm not in the mindset for a full fleshed out review, so I'll try to keep it short.

I've never played a battle network game. I knew they existed, but didn't know anything about them gameplay-wise. I bought this game and Maiden & Spell about the same time. I don't remember why. I was sure the game was cool, but was something I just would never be able to keep up with. I was wrong. I'm so unbelievably glad I gave this game a chance. I love the frantic tempo of this game. I encourage anyone with the disposable income (that likes high speed action) to try this game out.

Ah and if you really REALLY like the game, there is workshop support. Always a plus in my opinion for games you end up loving. I haven't played in a bit playing other games (and life just beating me up), but I still play vanilla and occasionally dip into mods. I don't usually play games repeatedly after beating them like this. RE5 is probably the oldest game that I do such a thing.

I have played all of the resident evil games, SH1 & 2, Galerians, and many other survival horror games (specifically tank controls ones). I love this game. This is the second game of this style I will play again so soon (Galerians being the first) while I usually move on to other games in the genre. Also I must mention that I love the aesthetic too. This game caught my eye way back when because of the Alice style dress.

Oh and can't forget this game is still getting content added (at least since last I played) and gets regular fixes. Well worth the buy even full price in my opinion.
