I'll be honest, i really like this game and the developers, i love soul knight and think that this game is 100% a worthy successor to that game, not a replacement tho, that's for sure.
And i was really excited when they announced that they would be porting the game to steam, since my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ phone couldn't run the game well, and gotta say, even if my pc is not the best, the game runs pretty decent, without many problems.
Once it released, i got the game and... absolutely loved it, i love to just cassualy play from time to time and do some runs to kill some time, and it's a good time for anyone and i think the price, specially on sale, is quite fair for what you get. and gotta say, even if my pc is not the best, the game runs pretty decent, without many problems.
and i really wish that would be all i had to say, but these developers F****D UP SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HARD RELEASING THIS GAME ON STEAM IS INSANE.
i'll start by saying, yes it's a lot of dlc, and no, you don't need ANY of it to enjoy the game.
the thing is, they released this game unchanged from the mobile version, when the consumers from mobile and steam are VASTLY different, since in a mobile game altough still ♥♥♥♥♥♥, it's normalized to have all this microtransaction ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, so it's understandable to a certain degree.
HOWEVER, steam consumers, AND SPECIALLY in small indie games like this is nothing like that, we expect a full product with dlc for added flavour, and if you boot up the game and complete the tutorial, you'll be bombarded with all that microtransaction ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ making you think it's actually a cheap pay to win mobile game port, when that could not be anywhere further from the truth.
by buying the game, you get the 3 free cahracters that you get on mobile plus another 3 that are paid, so essentially what you're paying for is these 3 characters, other than that, the FULL GAME can be onjoyed for free, no need to to pay a cent in any type of microtransaction.
even characters and skins can be achieved by just playing the game, and the revives are literally really unnecesary.
i REALLY wish they didn't just port the game and got rid of all the unnecesary stuff that the mobile version had so it didn't (rightfully) scare off people into thinking this is just another cheap mobile game port.
anyways, i give this game a thumbs up because i do like this game and i feel like i got good content for what i paid for.

So, you're telling me you're making a game with muse dash gameplay, but improved with more variety, an ost that ABSOLUTELY SLAPS, a bautiful art direction, a separate story mode with it's own different gameplay style, what seems like a good and interesting story, AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF A FU***** BEATMAP EDITOR?!?!?!?!
Right here, you have the perfect recipe for one of the best rhythm games on steam, and mark my words, this game WILL explode on release, thanks to all the features mentioned above.
the only criticism i have is the beatmaps that are... yeah, either i'm not that used to this specific game, or the beatmaps need some work to be better. either way i CANNOT recommend you more to just try this beta out , after all it's free, and see for yourself what i'm talking about.
