Early Access Review
A warning to everyone thinking that this is a Diablo/PoE-like ARPG, IT IS NOT. This is a souls-like dominant game where button mashing will get you killed.

Update Review
September 2026

This game got review bombed following the announcement of the 1.0 delay. While it is completely understandable why eager players felt frustrated(myself included), it definitely works out better when the studio is given the extra time it needs, just look at the release of Cyberpunk 2077, No man's sky, etc. I say let them cook. Luckily, Moon Studios has reacquired the full publishing rights for No Rest for the Wicked in March 2025 and became a fully independent self-publisher giving them the freedom to adjust their timeline to ensure the game meets their standards.

Early Access Review
January 2026

The devs of No Rest For The Wicked is a very good example of how an Early Access should be used, by listening to its players. Bugs that have been reported are fixed asap, suggestions and feedbacks taken seriously followed by a tweak here and there. And of course, the top community wishlist, the implementation of Co-Op done right. Let me explain this: It uses a persistent shared realm and any member of the realm can log in, explore, gather resources, or progress independently, even when the original creator or host is OFFLINE. Quest progress is tied directly to the specific realm you are playing in but your individual character keeps their personal gear, inventory, and stats across different realms. Want to play in a different or various realms with the same character? You definitely can. It's being shaped by the awesome community and the devs are listening.

You can totally tell this game was a passion project, looks and feels incredible.
The combat is fluid, responsive, and very satisfying. Although, not as punishing compared to a souls game and that's not a bad thing.
The art style is BREATHTAKING. This game will pull you in and immerse you.
The voice acting is top notch, it genuinely felt like I was playing a AAA game the whole time.
Great foundation in Early Access to begin with. Highly recommended.
