In this review, I will be reviewing both the remastering and the actual game, for those who didn't play it back in the day.

The Remastering:
While the background textures are unchanged--the model textures, voice recordings, music and lightning has all been improved. They also added a dev commentary track and point-and-click controls, which is a great improvement. The background textures are just fine for me, since they were excelent to begin with, but what bothers me is that the cut-scenes are the exact same, and that the game has a bug (which has happend to me several times), in which after I pull out an item in an area where it's not needed, the game unables me from walking, interecting and even going to the menu--leaving me with no choice but to close the window and lose my unsaved progress.
Even though I have no trouble with the unchanged features, this just feels like a money-grab, what with the need of a patch for the technical issues. Don't get me wrong though, I do recommend buying this for the sake of being able to play Grim Fandango on a modern platform. After all, any improvements are just icing on the cake for me.
4/10, because of bugs.

The Game:
You play the roll of Manuel Calavera, a travel agent in the eighth underworld in this adventure, film-noir classic. You sell tickets to the ninth underworld to people who has recently come to the eighth underworld, in order to repay a debt. But as you progress in the story, you uncover a web of corruption in the system. The game is split up in four chaptres--each one representing a year--which consists of fun puzzle solving, great story advancements and memorable characters. If you haven't played this game yet, it's a must. Grim Fandango is, and always will be the best adventure game for me.
