My nana’s recipe
Eggnog:
1 dozen eggs, separated (you don't use the whites at all)
2 c sugar 1 tsp nutmeg 1 qt. half and half
1 pt (375 ml) whiskey or rum
separate eggs and stir yolks with liquor, 2 cups sugar, and teaspoon nutmeg.
let mixture "ripen" in refrigerator 12-24 hours
I found it works best to blend in a blender or nutribullet the next day before adding half and half.
You may also want to strain in a fine strainer after blending to be sure there's no chunks.
Then mix with half and half.
It keeps well in the fridge.
When you serve it, top with reddi-whip and a tiny tiny sprinkle of nutmeg
